After a few years of trying to make the Jade Night glazes work right every time, it’s time to admit defeat and move on to something lighter and more predictable. The new speckled white has been developed over the last two years and is working well in all positions in the kiln. The thinner it’s applied the more speckle from the iron in the clay body shows through. Over the last year I’ve created a blue grey glaze as well, its works nicely with the speckled white and I have now settled on this combination for all my domestic ware.
